What the work feels like

Typical day

You stand at the workbench, check the dimensions on the technical drawing and then cut the prepared sheet metal to the required length. After that, you assemble the individual parts into the equipment and weld the joints cleanly before testing the function

  • You read technical drawings and prepare the required metal materials
  • You cut, bend and shape sheets and pipes according to plan
  • You assemble individual components into complex industrial equipment
  • You weld parts together and carefully inspect the seams
  • You commission the finished devices and check the quality
  • You maintain machines, create operating instructions and dispose of waste correctly

Working conditions

You usually work in large factory halls in the metal and machinery industry. For final assembly or maintenance, you also work directly on-site at the customer's location
