What the work feels like

Typical day

You check the machine for unusual noises and take it apart step by step. After replacing the faulty parts, you test the device carefully before returning it to the customer.

  • You thoroughly inspect motorised equipment to find the cause of a fault.
  • You carry out maintenance work, such as oil changes or replacing brake fluid.
  • You take machines apart, repair broken components and put everything back together.
  • You check electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure they work properly.
  • You advise customers on technical questions and equipment purchases.
  • You adapt machines to the individual needs of clients.
  • You document carried out repairs and replace worn parts correctly.

Working conditions

You work in repair workshops for manufacturers or dealers, often in a team. Occasionally you travel directly to customers to repair machines on site.
