What the work feels like

Typical day

You stand at the workshop bench. You check an electrical system with diagnostic tools. Then you replace worn brake pads. After checking all functions, you hand the motorcycle over to the waiting customer.

  • You diagnose faults in electrical and onboard systems.
  • You check frames, suspension parts and brake systems for wear.
  • You replace engine components and gearbox parts correctly and reassemble them.
  • You service wheels, check tyre pressure and balance rims.
  • You update control software and install new vehicle functions for customers.
  • You advise customers thoroughly on planned maintenance work.
  • You adjust ignition systems precisely and check all cable insulation.

Working conditions

You work in small teams in specialised motorcycle workshops or with manufacturers. Occasionally you also advise customers in the sales area.
