03 · Pathway
The training takes 4 years. It is a dual apprenticeship. You gain practice in the workshop and theory at the vocational school.
Motorradmechaniker/in EFZ
Lateral entry or a shortened apprenticeship as a bicycle mechanic/in is possible.
04 · Skills & fit
05 · Daily reality
You stand at the workshop bench. You check an electrical system with diagnostic tools. Then you replace worn brake pads. After checking all functions, you hand the motorcycle over to the waiting customer.
You work in small teams in specialised motorcycle workshops or with manufacturers. Occasionally you also advise customers in the sales area.
