  • Completed compulsory school and eidg. Fähigkeitszeugnis (EFZ) or completed secondary school (e.g. gymnasiale Maturität)
  • SVEB-Zertifikat 1 (Stufe 1 in Erwachsenenbildung)
  • Good general education
  • Good German language skills in speech and writing
  • Normal hearing ability (audiogram)
  • Normal speech ability
  • Normal tooth alignment
  • Age generally between 25 and 50 years
  • Participation in two double lessons in a local course for hearing training with lip-reading
  • Aptitude interview (e.g. assessment of contact ability, understanding of people with hearing loss of different ages, joy of language)

What the work feels like

Typical day

You stand in front of a small group. You lead lip-reading exercises together. Participants actively copy the mouth movements. You give individual feedback in between. You adapt the exercises flexibly to current needs.
