Prerequisites

  • Minimum age: 19 years
  • Sufficient experience as a mountaineer (leisure, not professional)
  • eidg. Fähigkeitszeugnis (EFZ), Berufs-, Fach- oder gymnasiale Maturität, Fachmittelschulausweis or equivalent qualification
  • At least 4 years of professional experience
  • 40 documented mandatory tours (30 under direct supervision and co-responsibility of Bergführer/innen and 10 private tours in technically demanding terrain)
  • Completion of required module certificates or equivalency confirmations

What the work feels like

Typical day

You stand at the start of an alpine route. You check equipment and current weather data with the participants. Then you walk over snow-covered paths or rocky climbing sections. You always keep track of safety and group morale.
