Official education path

The part-time course covers between 12 and 60 teaching days, depending on your choice. It also includes a diploma project.

Prerequisites

  • Eidgenössischer Fachausweis als Trainer/Trainerin Leistungssport or an equivalent qualification
  • Practical experience as an active trainer with squad athletes in youth or elite sports (Swiss Olympic Card Holders) of at least 1600 hours
  • 200 hours of practical experience completed in the year before the exam (up to six weeks prior)
  • Visa from the sports association confirming awareness of registration and support by a Coach Developer (Trainerberater/in)
  • Practical competence assessed as sufficient by association experts
  • Three progress assessments with the Coach Developer
  • Proof of a completed internship (min. 60-80 working hours) at a level recognized by the sports association
  • Recognized training in first aid/medical care

What the work feels like

Typical day

You stand at the edge of the training area. You watch how exercises are performed. You give immediate technical feedback. After the session, you analyze video recordings with the Coach Developer. You adjust the training plan to match individual recovery needs.
