What the work feels like
Typical day
You stand by your client's bed, help them get up, and pay attention to back-friendly posture. Afterward, you prepare breakfast and discuss the latest vital signs with the nursing team.
- You support people with daily personal care and dressing.
- You assist bedridden people with turning and adjust their lying position.
- You monitor vital signs like pulse and temperature and document them carefully.
- You organise meals, cook, and set the tables for the team.
- You carry out administrative tasks and fill out forms on the computer.

- You strictly follow hygiene measures and protect your own health.
Working conditions
You work in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centres, or with home care services. You are often employed in institutions for people with disabilities as well.
