This apprenticeship prepares you to assist with personal care, mobility, and daily organisation in care facilities or at home
As an Assistent/in Gesundheit und Soziales EBA, you are responsible for basic care and the well-being of your clients every day. You accompany people during personal care, support them with mobility, and ensure hygiene and safety. You work in teams with specialists to create a structured daily routine and also handle administrative tasks. The job requires empathy, physical stamina, and a strong sense of responsibility.

The 2-year apprenticeship teaches you practical care skills and administrative abilities in a training setting.
Assistent/in Gesundheit und Soziales EBA
Lateral entry or a shortened apprenticeship as a Fachperson Gesundheit EFZ is often possible.

You stand by your client's bed, help them get up, and pay attention to back-friendly posture. Afterward, you prepare breakfast and discuss the latest vital signs with the nursing team.
You work in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centres, or with home care services. You are often employed in institutions for people with disabilities as well.
