What the work feels like

Typical day

You park your work vehicle at the edge of the accident. You put out warning vests and check the car for safe driving. While you document the damage, you calm the people involved and wait for the rescue teams to arrive.

  • You secure the accident scene and quickly assess possible dangers.
  • You coordinate the police, fire department, and ambulance services on site.
  • You identify vehicle faults with measuring tools and carry out emergency repairs.
  • You document damage and create cost overviews for insurers and clients.
  • You advise affected persons on the next steps and support them.
  • You recover vehicles that cannot drive and organize their disposal.

Working conditions

You work directly on the roadside, on highways, or in workshops. Depending on the situation, you switch between mobile work sites and fixed office desks.
