What the work feels like

Typical day

You stand in front of the plant control centre. You check the screen for current measurements on grain size and density. Then you go to the screening area. You check the separated material fractions for quality. You also verify their correct storage in the silos.

  • You take samples and check physical properties like density and conductivity.
  • You sort and separate materials using screens, magnets or electrostatics.
  • You crush components and mix them for asphalt or concrete.
  • You remove dust from the exhaust air. You prepare process water for recycling.
  • You store bulk materials safely in silos or tanks. You monitor the fill levels.
  • You maintain the large plants regularly. You carry out minor repairs.
  • You train new staff members. You coordinate daily tasks with the team.
  • You ensure all safety and environmental rules are followed strictly.

Working conditions
