What the work feels like

Typical day

You start your day in the greenhouse. You check temperature and humidity before sharing work plans with your team. Then you head to the open fields. You monitor crop progress and adjust irrigation or pest control as needed.

  • You create annual planting plans and choose suitable varieties for open-field or greenhouse cultivation.
  • You control modern greenhouses to optimally adjust light, CO2, and temperature for the plants.
  • You monitor crop health and precisely adjust fertilization and irrigation.
  • You plan the optimal harvest time and prepare the vegetables for transport.
  • You lead your team, create shift schedules, and continuously analyze work processes.
  • You monitor the sales market and take on sales and marketing tasks when needed.

Working conditions

You work outdoors in all weather conditions and spend winters in climate-controlled greenhouses. Your workplace is a farm or a cooperative.
