What the work feels like

Typical day

You stand on the scaffolding, check the paint at the mixing station, and apply a new layer evenly to the facade. You make sure adjacent areas are taped off cleanly.

  • You calculate material needs and order the right paints for the next stage.
  • You set up ladders and scaffolding safely to work at heights.
  • You cover areas with foil to protect floors and furniture from paint stains.
  • You remove old wallpaper and layers to prepare the base for the new coating.
  • You fill cracks, sand down uneven spots, and carefully remove dust from the surface.
  • You apply varnishes and paints evenly with brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • You clean the construction site and dispose of waste according to current environmental regulations.

You work mainly on construction sites, and sometimes in workshops or outdoors. Your workplace includes painting companies and firms in the paint and varnish industry.
