Malerpraktiker/in EBA support surface preparation, painting, and protecting construction materials.
In this role, you transform rooms and objects by carefully preparing surfaces and applying paint correctly. You work closely with experienced painters, set up scaffolding, protect floors and furniture, and keep the workspace clean. The job requires physical fitness, manual dexterity, and confidence working at heights.

Training takes place over 2 years in a painting company, with 1 day per week at the vocational school.
Malerpraktiker/in EBA
After the EBA training, you can shorten your initial training to become a Maler/in EFZ. Vocational and professional schools, as well as SMGV, also offer targeted advanced training courses.

You stand on the scaffolding, check the paint at the mixing station, and apply a new layer evenly to the facade. You make sure adjacent areas are taped off cleanly.
You work mainly on construction sites, and sometimes in workshops or outdoors. Your workplace includes painting companies and firms in the paint and varnish industry.
