What the work feels like
Typical day
You stand on a freshly assembled scaffold and check the exact alignment of the steel pipes with a tape measure. At the same time, you coordinate material transport with the lift and secure the work zone for the following trades.
- You read construction drawings and inspect the site before the actual assembly.
- You calculate the ground load capacity and choose the right scaffolding system.
- You assemble steel pipes, supports and reinforcements directly on the building envelope.
- You secure the work zone with barriers and warn of hazardous areas.
- You maintain the tools and repair damaged parts for the next job.
- You coordinate material transport with lifts and plan the dismantling process.
Working conditions
