You stand at the workbench, check the fit of a custom shoe and discuss the next steps with your team. You exchange targeted information with physiotherapists to optimally support therapy goals.

  • You advise clients on orthopaedic aids and insoles.
  • You manufacture special shoes according to medical instructions and individual measurements.
  • You compare production methods and choose the best technical option.
  • You document the production process with sketches and detailed models.
  • You lead your team, distribute tasks and monitor quality.
  • You manage the material warehouse and negotiate with suppliers on quotes.
  • You train apprentices and support staff with complex orders.

Working conditions

You work in workshops or offices, which are often directly connected to clinics. As a link, you coordinate processes between clients, specialist doctors and your production team.
